2011 Rector's Report

Spring Silent Auction - May 4

The date for the Spring Silent Auction has been set for Friday, May 4. The auction is our church's major fundraiser for the year.

There will be many ways to add your support. We have immediate need for volunteers to help organize this event. Please contact Warren Jones to offer your assistance.

February Outreach Focus

The outreach focus for February is the Clergy Discretionary Fund. This fund is set up to assist with various needs to come to the Clergy's attention week by week.

Spring Book and Rummage Sale - April 21, 2012

If you are planning to do a winter cleaning, then know that we can help you find a good cause for your books and pre-loved items that you no longer want or need. Think about donating them to the Outreach Committee Book & Rummage Sale to be held on Saturday, April 21st. The proceeds of the sale go towards meeting the needs of our guests at the Saturday Evening Meal Program.

The Outreach Committee is asking for your donations of books and gently-used household items (eg. dishes, cookware, linens, toys, games, working electronics). Please no clothing or oversized furniture. Drop off times are as follows:

Books: April 2 - April 5 (9am - 3pm)
Household Goods: April 16 - April 19 (9am - 3pm)
Extended drop-off hours on April 19th from 3pm - 6pm

Retail Cards

We will be taking orders on the second Monday of each month until further notice. In the future we may change to ordering twice a month if volume increases. The program has already profited over $400 for St. John's. This amount is added to our fundraising efforts. Thank you to all who have supported and those who continue to support the program!

125th Anniversary Survey

St. John's will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary during the year 2013. A steering committee has been formed and your input is welcome to assist with the planning. Surveys are available from the church office, or contact us to have one sent to you.
