For 29 years, the church of St. John the Evangelist has been welcoming Londoners experiencing hunger to dinner every Saturday night without a break. In 2024, a Tuesday lunch and an outdoor pantry were added to address the ever increasing food security needs in London. In the last six months we have started a new program supporting food insecurity at Beal Secondary School.  We look forward to continuing this support in the next year.

This is the primary, but not the only way that our church community reaches out to those in need. The funds raised from our event will go directly to supporting our Meal Programs.  With the increased cost of food and supplies, the success of this event has never been more important to the financial security of the Meal Programs.

SPONSORSHIP

This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to support our event and an extremely worthwhile cause.  If you or your company would like to make a financial donation there are three levels of support.

Gold       $5,000

Silver     $2,500

Bronze   $1,000

We thank you for your generosity and you will receive acknowledgement on our Facebook page as well in all correspondence and publicity.

REGISTRATION

Registration can be done online. Participants have the opportunity to create their own page, story and add an image if desired. The in-person event will take place on Sunday October 18 at the church of St. John the Evangelist at 2:30 p.m. with event check-in starting at 1:30 p.m. For those wishing to walk the 5k on their own, this is still an option.

PRIZES

1. Medals to the top three finishers under 10. 

2. Medals to the top three finishers 11-16.

3. Trophy and Prize to the top Male/Female finisher over 16 years old.

4. Trophy to the Top Senior Runner

5. Trophy to the top fundraising team

6. Trophy to the top fundraising individual.

7. Dog and Owner Prize

 There will also be additional door prizes drawn after the race with refreshments.
